Hey Guys! I’m The Girl On TV With The Rash.

I may have a small problem with anxiety. After all, it was I that broke out into a rash on NATIONAL TV because I let my nerves get the best of me. Cute, right?

Luckily, my anxiety is not debilitating but it is enough to cause sleepless and worrisome nights every now and then.

Last year I found a really neat website, stop-anxiety-attack-symptoms.com, which offers simple solutions about managing stress and anxiety. I am a sucker for homeopathic remedies so naturally I was eager to comply. The website told me to do the following:

  1. Begin by slowly breathing in through your nose for a count of four.
  2. Hold the breath for a count of seven.
  3. Slowly exhale through your mouth for a count of eight.

Later that night I practiced the breathing technique and was BLOWN AWAY (lol) by how well it worked!

The website offers several explanations for why deep breathing works and how it is essential to a healthy immune and lymphatic system. Dr. Mladen Golubic sums it up best: “You can influence asthma; you can influence chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; you can influence heart failure.”

All of our lives are constantly filled with stressors and it is so important to take the time to care for your body. Deep Breathing is a simple but powerful tool to lower the stress hormones and create a healthier, happier you!
